How to Keep Your Immune System Boosted – No Sick Down Time!
By Janet Lawson, Healthy Practices Catalyst

This is Free, Easy, and Fast!
Since I learned this Immune Booster practice 11 years ago, I have not gotten sick, even during travels throughout Mexico, Europe, U.S., and other side of the earth to New Zealand and Thailand. Despite being stressed and sleep-deprived going into several of my trips, I evaded colds, flu, and who knows what else. Maybe I just have an immune system on steroids? Doubtful as I have chased away the onset of sore throats and colds with this practice. Once, I did acquire all the cold symptoms, which I eradicated in a couple days, while everyone else’s cold oppressed them for 2 weeks! I exorcised it!

What is this Immunity Booster?
It entails Thumping the Thymus gland area while Breathing Deeply for about 1 minute.
The Thymus gland is a critical player in our immune system. It is located behind the sternum (breastbone) but in front of the heart. The thymus is actually largest in adolescence and shrinks as we age. The vibration of thumping the thymus stimulates an increase in the maturation and release of white blood cells, which fight off infection and other foreign matter in our bodies.

Step 1: Locate the Thymus Gland Area on the front side of your body. The approximate location of thymus is center of sternum and heart.

Step 2A: Firmly thump or strongly tap continuously on chest in the thymus area with fingertips, while simultaneously breathing, described in the next step. Knuckles can be used, but I suggest fingertips or open hands due the levels of electromagnetic energy emitting from them. Technology such as the SQUID device, EMG, EKG, and EEGs have been used to measure these signals. Electromagnetic energy in hands is 1000 x greater than the heart’s level.

Step 2B: Simultaneous Breathing - While thumping your thymus, slowly inhale deeply, expanding the belly, and exhaling deeply 4 times. This breathing helps oxidize and alkaline the body. Illness is less likely to thrive in an alkaline environment. The breathing can be through nose or mouth. I suggest inhales through the nose and exhales through the mouth.

Background and Owner of the Thymus Thump practice (aka Tarzan Thump)
This simple self-applied practice is based upon the same meridian system that acupuncture engages. As you know, acupressure and acupuncture are finally becoming accepted practices in the medical community and insurance coverage. I am astounded when people decline to even try the thymus thump; maybe they think it is black magic?

Eastern healing traditions from China, India, Japan and Tibet work with our body’s meridians and energy systems. Acupuncture, yoga, breathwork, martial arts, massage, and Reiki are a examples of practices that are founded on these energy channels and have gained popularity in the west as common therapies for the health-minded person. Keep in mind the U.S. with all its “science” does not rank in the top 30 in various “healthy population” studies (WHO, UN) compared to Japan and other countries.

The “western” formulator of this Thymus Thump exercise for immune health is Donna Eden. The Thymus is one of four thumping segments that Donna promotes in a full routine. Her foundational book, Energy Medicine, can be found.at Innersource to learn more.

When to Do the Tarzan Thump?
Daily Routine - Doing this Deep-Breathing-Thymus-Thump every day is a great habit to keep your immune system strong. It is akin to monkeys slapping their chests to announce their strong presence, vitality, and ward off any threats. For humans think of it as asserting our resilience and warding off germs. And remember, Tarzan did it!

Stress or Shock - This Thymus Thump also helps with handling stress and shock. Give it a try if you get distressing news.

Run down, in high germ environments, or around sick people - Break out the Deep Breathing Thymus Thump!

Overseas flights – This can help ease jet lag. Donna has a more detailed process that addresses jet lag, but at a minimum, the simple Thymus Thump helps.

Some folks have asked me during my thumping time, “are you ok”? I just grin at the chance to explain how I’m boosting my immune system. Sharing health tips benefits all of us to reduce illness occurrences in schools, businesses, and home.

Your Take-Aways
Your Thymus is key in your immune system. You have electromagnetic energy in your hands. Oxygen helps to alkalize your body. Save yourself time and money from doctor visits for minor illnesses: Thump your thymus and breathe deeply slowly 4 times, inhale/exhale. If you are skeptical, think of it as a self-massage, and why not try it? How much convincing do we need to embrace the power of positive thinking, prayer, or essential oils?

LET’S GO! 3 Simple things you can do to boost your immune system – less sick time, doctor visits, and pharmaceuticals (for low level immune sickness).

1. Make a commitment to a 1 minute per day habit to apply the Thymus Thump practice. Set it as a routine like brushing your teeth and drinking water.
2. Thump your Thymus AND Breathe deeply daily and at times when certain unhealthy conditions arise.
3. Deploy the Thump additional ad hoc times throughout the day when:

a. Run down, stressed, exposed to germs
b. Cold and flu season is trending
c. On airplanes or during any travel
d. A sneeze, cough, or a conversation about illness arises to prompt you to Thymus Thump & Breathe!
